FOR PREMIUM BRANDS

Canadian and US representation for premium and luxury houses that are respected at home and new to North America. Furniture and interiors, leather goods, fashion and textiles, tableware and design objects. Canada first, then the United States, with one principal on the ground who looks after your name as if it were our own.
01

Who This Is For

Family houses and design-led makers whose name already means something at home. You may have a few clients in North America through a trade fair or a showroom visit, but nobody here who answers for the brand day to day. You want to grow in Canada without discounting, without the wrong retailer, and without losing control of how you are presented.

How We Represent You

We start as your appointed agent. We present the collection, open the doors to the retailers, interior designers and hospitality buyers who should carry you, and negotiate in your name, while you ship and invoice direct. Exclusive distribution comes later, if the volumes justify it and you want it. Nothing is agreed in your name without your sign-off.

The First Phase

Before any long-term commitment, a short first phase with a fixed scope. We map where your category sells in Canada and at what price, test your landed cost against it, and put the collection in front of a shortlist of the retailers, designers and buyers who fit the brand. At the end you have a written read on whether Canada is worth it, and a decision to make.

Protecting the Name

A luxury name takes decades to build and one bad season to cheapen. We choose retailers who sell at your price in every province, never open the channels you refuse, and make sure the stores that carry you present the brand the way you would. Once the base in Canada is solid, we plan the United States with you.

Questions premium brands ask us

Which categories do you represent?

Furniture, lighting and interiors, leather goods and accessories, fashion, textiles and home linen, and tableware, glass and design objects. If your category is close to these, ask. If we are not the right partner, we will say so.

Will you discount the brand to get it into stores?

No. A price that drops in the first year rarely recovers. We would rather open with a few retailers who sell at your price than many who will not, and we agree your wholesale pricing floor with you in writing before the first presentation.

Do you work with department stores?

Only where they sell at your price and present the brand properly. Most premium houses do better starting with selected independent retailers, interior designers and hospitality projects, and widening once the name is known here.

Have you launched a luxury brand in Canada before?

Yes. In Canada we launched Tonino Lamborghini's products, and placed its coffee and hot chocolate with selected Italian premium retailers rather than chain retail, because chain retail could not hold a luxury price. Before that, our founder met Formitalia's volume target, which earned his employer at the time the Aston Martin furniture exclusivity. We also built Lusso Scelta, our own Italian coffee and gourmet brand in North America, from its first order.

How many brands do you take on?

Only a few at a time, so each one has our full attention, from the first conversation with a retailer to the customer who orders again.

How do we start?

A short call. Thirty minutes is usually enough to understand the house, the collection and whether Canada is worth your time. Book it with the button at the top or bottom of this page, send us a message through the Contact page, or write to reception@tehranitrading.ca.

What We Need From You

A decision maker

Someone on your side who can agree terms without a long internal review. Clear answers early save a season later.

Honest product economics

Ex-works prices, minimum orders, lead times, and the margin a Canadian retailer needs to carry you. Optimistic numbers cost everyone a year.

Clear brand guardrails

What the brand will and will not do. Pricing floors, channels you refuse, presentation standards. Tell us what to defend and we will defend it.

Patience for year one

A premium name is built slowly. The first twelve months build the base, and the return comes in the years after it, which is why we plan for several years, with clear points to review.

Is Canada right for your brand?

A 30-minute call is usually enough to tell. If it is, the first phase ends in a written go or no-go. If it is not, we will say so.
